San Diego is located south of Orange County and is a great day trip destination for beaches, amusement parks, and clubbing. Whether if you are catching waves at San Onofre or are looking for coastal wilderness at Torrey Pines State Beach, there is no shortage of beach destinations in San Diego. Keep in mind that as of 2008, alcoholic beverages are no longer permitted on San Diego beaches, but there are plenty of restaurants and bars on the sand to choose from. If you have a hankering to see a warthog or a silky-haired colobus monkey, check out the San Diego Zoo’s Wild Animal Park. There you can find 1,800 acres of animal exhibits that host rare and unusual animal species from around the globe.

Sea World presents a more domesticated version of animal life, where orcas, sea lions and dolphins put on a show. In addition to sea mammal performances there are rides, aquariums, penguins, and an assortment of aquatic-themed exhibits throughout the park. The night life in San Diego is rampant. Looking for a glorious party scene where “the boys are men and so are the girls”? Check out Lips for a hilarious show, dinner and cocktails. The Gaslamp District is the center of San Diego’s dance clubs. The bar scene is riddled with Irish Pubs, Mexican Cantinas, and overall there is a more civilized taste of New Orleans’ French Quarter. San Diego bestows countless adventures that is worth a day trip to experience.
