The City of Brea is located on the north-eastern end of Orange County bordering Fullerton, La Habra, Placentia and Yorba Linda. This city is noted for its widespread public art displays, showing more than 140 pieces positioned throughout the city. This program began in 1975 and has been used as a model for other cities’ public art efforts throughout the United States. In 2007, Sunset magazine named Brea in the top five best places to live in the west. Bordering Brea is Carbon Canyon Regional Park, which offers 64 acres of open space with a Coastal Redwood grove. The Brea Mall is a shopping center that is located near California State University, Fullerton, and offers a wide variety of department stores, specialty shops and boutiques.
