Trabuco Canyon

Trabuco Canyon

Trabuco Canyon is an unincorporated community that partway merges into the Cleveland National Forest. It is located in the foothills of the Santa Ana Mountains north of Rancho Santa Margarita. Developments near vast open spaces may be exposed to the risk of natural disasters, and was evacuated when the 2007 Silverado Canyon fire spread into Trabuco Canyon. Attractions to the area include Cooks Corner, a popular biker hangout where each weekend motorcycles are parked en masse outside of the café. Hamilton Oaks Vineyard is a winery nestled in Trabuco Canyon whose wine has won international awards. There are also ample parks to visit, such as O’Neill Regional Park, Starr Ranch Sanctuary, and Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park.
